Two Hounds, twenty four Balloons, and twenty Minions to clean what is left.
TH9 is the level where air stops being a gimmick. There are no Infernos, the Air Defences are the only thing that meaningfully kills a Balloon, and two Lava Hounds soak all of them at once. Every TH9 that has ever three starred a war base has done it with some version of this. The whole attack is decided before the Balloons land, by whether the Hounds pulled the right Air Defences, which is why it is the army worth learning properly rather than the one worth learning first.

How to run it
- 1Pick the side with two Air Defences close together and send both Lava Hounds at them, spread wide enough that one defence does not pull both.
- 2Count four seconds, then drop the Balloons in a single line behind the Hounds. One lane. Never a ring around the base.
- 3Rage as the first pack crosses the wall, not while they are still over the collectors.
- 4Freeze the Air Sweeper if it is pointing into your lane, otherwise save it for a clumped Wizard Tower.
- 5Trickle Minions from the back once the Air Defences are gone, and send the heroes into the side the Balloons already cleared.
What beats it. Three Air Defences spread into separate corners is the base this loses to. The Hounds split, the Balloons die in the gap, and no amount of Rage fixes it. Take the Witches into that one instead.
The other TH9 armies
Same camp space, different answer. Lavaloonion is the one to drop when the base suits it, not the only one worth learning.
